He returned to help a stray cat who became his friend and changed his life forever.
There was another day to rescue Chris Poole (Tampa, Florida animal rescuer) from a stray cat and kitten when he bumped into a blind wandering man in the garden of a local motor home.
The gray and white cat returned to eat after Chris noticed that he had brought food one day. It had sharp edges and needed medical attention.
Kittens come home forever
“Especially one street was very bad, bad kittens, many minors. I always start by placing a kitten, as it is the most vulnerable. At the same time, I fed cats, and Odin was a regular customer, ”said Chris Love.
In hopes of gaining her trust, Chris decided to talk to her while the cat was eating. The kitten began to feel more comfortable around his human friend and began to weaken his guard.
“Once I decided to offer him tuna and see if I can really contact him. To my delight, he ate the tuna that he threw at me and made me even closer, ”Chris shared with Love Meow.
“For many days, when I ate his food, I noticed how he looked. Fortunately, he calmed down and did not run away.
Jamie Kern started following Odin’s journey on social media right from the beginning. “I fell in love with him from the very first picture that Chris posted. I can’t explain it. I just knew he was my cat. The second I could fill out the adoption application I was on it,” Jamie shared with Love Meow.
As it turns out, her resident tabby cat Marvel also had a rough life before finding his way to Jamie. “I felt like here was another baby that so deserved to be safe and loved.”
“I waited over a month while Odin had his various medical procedures and healed, and finally got to bring him home on the 4th of July. He was a little over an hour away from me, but I would have driven across the country and back to get him if I had to.”
After a bit of exploring at his new abode, Odin cuddled up to his human mom and started rumbling with his adorable purrs as if he knew he was finally where he belonged.
