Sometimes it seems like nothing will work. When your child is crying and nothing that you’ve done has gotten them to stop, it feels like the world is going to end before that baby calms down. No matter what you do, they just won’t stop crying. It happens to the best of us. That, however, is when some folks decide to get creative.

The father in this video, for example, has been listening to his little girl cry for a while (as it says in the YouTube video description), so he decides to set up the camera in his bedroom and do the unexpected.

As Sam Cooke’s classic tune “A Change Is Gonna Come” starts playing in the background, we seeDad hold his baby in his arms and start belting out the song. The big surprise? He’s really good!

As he sings the song and spins around with his baby girl, you can just see her eyes light up and her face fill with joy. Not only is she no longer crying, but she seems downright thrilled to be in Daddy’s arms and hearing him singing.

As the song continues, Dad keeps singing, even getting his other daughter involved and, by the end of the video, he has both of his girls in his arms.

It is a beautiful, heartwarming moment captured on camera, but it’s also a testament to the power of music to soothe the crying baby. Way to go, Dad!
