Our pets are our family, and yet people abandon their animals at an alarming rate. Perhaps a dog keeps making a mess of the living room, or a cat hasn’t learned to use her litter box yet. Many people even bring their pets back to where they got them from because they grew older, out of that cute kitten or puppy stage. In this extremely powerful ad created by the RSPCA, we see the impact of animal abandonment, and how similar it is to leaving a child behind on the streets.

By the end of this video, I was moved, sad and hopeful that people will see this video and think twice before leaving their pet behind.
