We all get excited when the first day of spring weather arrives. Gone are the scarves, gloves, and heavy coats that kept us captive all winter, and out come the short sleeves, cropped shorts, and happy faces.
But as cooped up as we were, these dairy cows, who spent a long winter indoors, were even more anxious to feel the grass beneath their hooves again. As soon as the barn doors were reopened, the playful cuties rushed out to soak in all the sun and have as much fun as their precious hearts could handle.
This is pretty much exactly how we acted as kids when the adults finally let us outside for recess. Ahhh, sweet freedom!
