Guilty dog videos are all the rage lately, and this latest one might just be my new personal favorite! When mom asks about the mess in the kitchen, this adorable small dog has to back out of the conversation…literally! It seems the dog knew he was about to be in trouble and wanted to leave the scene as slyly as possible.
Although your dog may have seemed like it was guilty before, scientists believe that secondary emotions – things like jealousy and shame – are beyond dog’s metal capabilities. There is plenty of evidence that dogs experience primary emotions – things like sadness and happiness. So your dog may in fact be sad, but he’s probably not guilty.
