A Florida news anchor walked off the set last week after he was asked to discuss a topic that he felt was exhausted. Josh Brown of FOX 35’s Good Day Orlando stormed off camera last Friday, August 7, when he was asked yet again to speak about the Kardashian family. “I’m having a good Friday, so I refuse to talk about the Kardashians today,” he said on air, “I can’t do it.” Brown’s frustration is undoubtedly felt by many people around the world — a quick glance at the comments section of the Facebook post serves as proof.
Recently, the family made headlines when patriarch and Olympic gold medalist Bruce Jenner came out publicly as transgender and transitioned into Caitlyn Jenner. While that development was certainly deserving of the front page, most other news stories related to the family are not. On the Good Day Orlando segment featured below, the topic in question is 18-year-old Kylie Jenner’s pet rabbit, which she named Bruce. “I’m sick of this family. It’s a non-story!” Brown can be heard saying in the background.
It’s true — the Kardashians get an awful lot of media exposure, most of it insignificant. But no matter where you go, they’re hard to escape.
After the segment started to gain national attention, Brown took to his Facebook page to upload the video, and with it he included a brief apology. However, it seems his apology may not have been necessary, as the comments are filled with support for what Brown did. “No apologies needed. You’re in great company of folks who are sick of ALL OF THEM!” one user said. “You are my new hero!!!” said another.
