From one corner of the globe to the other, GENTRI is known around the world as the ever-so-talented trio of “gentlemen” tenors. While every song of theirs is great, the three skilled men really let their voices free during this amazing rendition of “O Holy Night.”
With excellent cinematography and a powerful message, they’re able to remind us of the true meaning of Christmas. They’ve proven their vocal ability more times than we can count in the past, but this performance truly takes the cake. The way their three voices ring through the air while demonstrating what matters most this time of year brings us to tears.
Even though their voices are undoubtedly stunning, it’s their heartwarming video accompanying the song that’s getting people talking. The music video is almost as touching as their song – and that takes real talent! Everyone should listen to this incredible rendition of “O Holy Night.”
The men of GENTRI begin their video with a father running into a homeless man. The two exchange brief glances before the homeless man helps attach the father’s Christmas tree to the top of his car. The father thanks the stranger for his help but quickly leaves the parking lot without doing anything else.
Throughout the remainder of the video, the father is troubled by the thought of the homeless man sitting alone and cold in the chilly winter night. That’s when he stops the holiday festivities to do the right thing. He spends his entire evening tracking him down to a nearby shelter!
Doing the “right thing” is a message the men of GENTRI want their listeners to take to heart. They want their fans to feel inspired to do something kind for another person after listening to their music. What a noble cause!
The group spoke to the Prelude Press about their overall theme:
“We wanted to make sure that the messages conveyed in our songs were those that challenged the listener to live life more fully and love more deeply. The messages of these songs are an extension of the core message of GENTRI itself. When it comes to self-improvement and trying to be better today than we were yesterday, we are certainly no exception…”
“We wanted the music and lyrics to reflect the things that matter most to us – relationships with family, chasing our dreams, and living life to the fullest. The biggest challenge when writing and recording an album always seems to be putting it all together in a way that comes across as authentic.”
They’ve certainly nailed that goal with this video. What an incredible video to honor the real meaning of the season. Christmas is about lending a helping hand to those who really it – not spending a fortune on those who already have it all!
The talented men of GENTRI show us that giving back is the best way to live out the true Christian faith.
