These unbelievable Wild West themed miniature drawings by San Diego-based artist Sam Larson are so minuscule that they are actually smaller than a penny.
By presenting a region so historically identified as the grand frontier in such a minuscule way, Larson asks us to contemplate how much of our idea of the Pacific frontier may be myth – and he suggests that the West coast might be cozier than we imagine.
You have to see them to believe them.
