With the colder weather coming, I know I’m not the only one trying to think of smart ways to keep warm. Sure, some people (and dogs) really love the snow and winter in general, but I’m just not one of them.

One of the reasons a lot of people may find the winter disheartening is because heating bills rise dramatically, and sometimes it’s a question of “how many more layers can I wear before I’m forced to turn the heat up?”

Luckily, other people have had the same thought, and someone has come up with a really fantastic way to save money: Build your own indoor heater using things you already have laying around the house!

All you need are two flower pots, some safe candles, and a few screws, and you’re on your way to a homemade heater that gets hot in minutes. Just make sure to take all the proper precautions — this thing gets hot!!
