Icheon, South Korea has a 5000 year tradition of making ceramics. and is still known today as a main tourist destination when it comes to ceramic culture. There are about 80 pottery factories in this small town, and many of them still create pottery the way the Masters were making them thousands of years ago.

In this amazing video, a few renowned potters create their own ceramics, each using a technique entirely his own.

It’s mesmerizing to watch, mostly because these artists work with such concentration, and they work so quickly. You can see what years and years of mastery really looks like – especially when it comes to using paint and tools to create intricate designs.

In today’s technology-obsessed world, it’s nice to know there are a few things that simply don’t change!
