When she was a teenager, Shanna received devastating news: doctors told her she’d never have kids. Years later, when Shanna fell in love with a man named Scott, she decided to persevere and undergo hormone replacement therapy shortly after their wedding. After a couple weeks of trying to no avail, Shanna decided her next attempt would be her last. So, imagine Shanna’s surprise when, just one month after marrying Scott, she discovered she was pregnant. Shanna was in complete shock, but that was only the beginning.

An ultrasound confirmed that Shanna had more than one baby growing inside her belly. There was a point she thought she was having triplets — but then came another shocker, and this time, it hit her like a ton of bricks. Shanna and Scott welcomed their three daughters and two sons into the world: Haley Jane, Alex Myron, Ryan Jacob, Amy Elizabeth and Sarah May, a.k.a. the Stickman Quintuplets.
