Laundry is one of those chores most of us loathe. However, with the sneaky shortcuts and clever hacks in the video below, laundry day is about to get so much more bearable.

From creating a cheap, unexpected alternative to dryer sheets to creating extra storage space in your laundry room, What’s Up Moms has compiled some amazing laundry hacks to keep you fresh and clean:

Clothespin a small mesh bag to your hamper to avoid losing socks. Toss the whole bag into the washer.
Secure old toy vehicles to the bottom of a hamper to make it easy for you or your kids to push around.
Use a dry-erase marker on your machine to remind you what items should be excluded from the dryer.
Keep detergent in clear wall-mounted soap dispensers to keep out of kids reach and for attractive storage.
Use two clothing hooks, and hang your ironing board to keep out of the way.
Install an inexpensive towel rack for extra hanging space.

Hang sticky or sweaty clothes to avoid mildew growth, and wash them right away.
Place a dry fluffy towel in the dryer to make clothes dry faster for the first 15 minutes of the dry cycle.
Make a ball of aluminum foil when you run out of dryer sheets. You can use the ball up to 6 months.
Use a pool noodle to avoid crease marks on line-dried clothes.
Use a piece of cardboard to professionally fold your clothes.
