Surely you have thousands of stories proving that dogs are our best friends.
However, these amazing creatures continue to give us a reason to love them even more!
These are truly loyal, caring and loving animals, so it’s always nice to have them around.
One Brazilian knows this best, and this is his story.
A homeless man in Cyanorte was taken to the hospital after suffering a stroke.
However, the ambulance followed him for six miles until he arrived at the hospital!
There, the dogs watched the man, Luiz, get carried into the Santa Cara hospital for treatment and they simply sat out front of the hospital and kept waiting.
They waited there for 24 hours.
They screamed outside the hospital until he was released from the hospital.
His faithful companions awaited his return to the hospital.
Breathtaking!
recalls Simone Zilan, a volunteer with the NGO Amigos de Patas Cianorte.
“The dogs were in despair. They followed the ambulance down the road just as Louis was being taken to the hospital. They went crazy and screamed at the entrance when they picked him up.”
Zilan took pictures of the dogs and said Luis was released the next day.
However, the fact that he and his brother took a different route made things worse because his best friends were waiting for him. Zilan explained:
“A volunteer from our community organization picked up Louis from his brother’s house and took the dogs to the hospital. He didn’t know there was a dog outside all this time, but he wasn’t surprised.”
Louis lives on the street with his dog. According to the NGO, the man refused to live with his brothers, claiming that the street was his home.
He lived there for twenty years after he was diagnosed with mental illness.
he considers his dogs his family.
According to Zilan:
“Some time ago we rented him a very simple house with a big fence for the dog, but he didn’t accept it and didn’t come back home. He said the house was the street.
At the time the dogs were also taken to a kennel, which a volunteer from the NGO created, but they escaped by jumping the wall and going after Luiz. Wherever he is you can guarantee that the dogs are not very far away.”
