Aging rescue dog Roosevelt, a pup diagnosed with terminal bone cancer, is finally getting his happy ending. The pooch was surrendered at Chicago Animal Care and Control in April, after his previous owners could no longer take care of his medical needs. Thankfully, this lucky dog found his guardian angels.

Sarah Lauch and Kelly Michael decided to foster the dog for a few months. During that time, Roo was diagnosed with bone cancer. Instead of giving up on the pit bull, these women officially adopted Roo and started a bucket list for him. Despite his illness, they want this pup to live life to the fullest.

Roo’s Facebook page, chronicles his bucket list adventures, and he already has his own hashtag: #LiveLikeRoo.

The dog has enjoyed plenty of fun adventures so far, including two massages from the Chicago School of Canine Massage. He has also spent the day at the lake, got some special treats from the local ice cream shop, and went for a walk along The 606.

The dog’s owners hope this pup will inspire others to make the best of the time they have.
