People are used to shipping containers going all over the world, but the new direction that some of them are headed may come as a surprise to you. As “luxurious, but simple” continues to grow as an aesthetic, more and more builders are using the large metal receptacles to create some really amazing structures. It’s awesome how something that would be considered by most to be an “eyesore” can be transformed into such a cool place to live, work, or even just hang out.

Wow! I know I probably can’t afford one of those fancy ones above, but how much are the regular ol’ rusty shipping containers? Those things have got to be double the size of the apartment I’m living in now and I can always fix it up to look all awesome if I ever win the lottery.
