Hurricane Yan, considered one of the strongest storms to hit the United States in recent years, reached full strength on Florida’s southwest coast on Wednesday.

Many streets turned into rivers, houses were washed away by raging waters, and even boats could be seen on the flooded streets.

At least 12 people died as a result of Hurricane Ian in the US state of Florida alone, and initial estimates show significant property damage. More than 2.5 million people were left without electricity, many residents without cellular communications.

A video has also circulated on the Internet showing the real horror of Fort Myers Beach, Estero Island, in the southeastern United States. There, water flooded the streets, many houses were damaged, and some even collapsed from the ground.
