Not everyone has the courage to do the right thing. Because it’s not that easy to do. It will require extra effort, time and hard work for others and not for yourself. This may seem difficult to others, but not to an 8-year-old boy from South Carolina.
Grayson Winfield is sure that the right things are always at the top of his list. And he has been helping others since he was only 4 years old!
By the time he was 4, he was already making Christmas presents for people smaller than himself. Four years later, Grayson is without a doubt doing more than ever. Inspire More said it has already set up an organization called “Helpline” to collect donations, give out gift cards to those in need, and buy food.
Inspire More added: “Grayson also offers lawn care services to anyone who can personally help prepare some food for local children. Moreover, he even made a business card for his organization.
Asked by CNN what prompted him to start the organization, Grace’s mother, Stevie, said it was the coronavirus. He said: “He asked how people can keep their homes and feed their children if they don’t work. This is indeed what started the growth of the Help Path.
But it seems like Greyson is not the only one who is inspired to help. This characteristic seems to be running in his DNA. That is because both of his parents are former firefighters. And with their examples, Greyson learned what caring for the community is all about.
He says he wants to be a Navy SEAL when he grows up. Well, it looks like he plans to spend his life helping others. Such a selfless act for a boy like him.
When asked why he wanted to serve in the Navy, he said, “The best thing is to help others. John F. Kennedy was in the Navy before he became president, and I want to follow him.”
Kids like Grace make you realize that you can do anything to help those in need, whether you’re young or old. If you want to become one of them, now is the time to start.
