When I saw The Hulk, a massive 17-month-old pit bull, for the first time I nearly lost it. He certainly lives up to his name! Weighing in at a whopping 173 pounds, The Hulk is not only the biggest pit bull, but maybe the biggest dog I’ve ever seen in my entire life.
The ASPCA has some very convincing words about pit bulls and how they are perceived in the public eye.
They say that in the past and to this day pit bulls have a reputation for being fierce dogs trained to fight.
And while that is true, they are also quick to point out that dogs are raised by their owners, and it’s not just what their DNA tells them to do that forms how the interact with the world. They are firm believers that “All dogs, including pit bulls, are individuals,” and should be treated as such.
