We came across the story of Roscoe through an image sharing site. A young woman named Lia, along with her boyfriend, rescued and saved the tiny kitten.
The story actually begins with Lia’s puppy Opie finding Roscoe in a field behind their apartment building. Poor Roscoe was found under a log and covered with maggots. Opie refused to leave the baby kitten, and before they knew it they were bringing him home.
Following is the touching story of Roscoe…
Meet Roscoe…here he is at only 2 days old, umbilical cord still attached…

After a nice bath and a visit to the emergency vet, Roscoe seemed to be doing much better…

He stayed nice and warm in a nesting box they created for him…

Cuddles with his new mom…

And around 10 days old, Roscoe began to open his eyes…

As a little baby, Roscoe at his replacement milk from a syringe…

And he loved to be held and cuddled after his feedings…

And then he would cozy back into his nesting box and fall asleep with his pink bunny toy…

At almost 2 weeks, both of his eyes were open…

Here he is, peaceful after a nice feeding at 2.5 weeks old…

His eyes had been open for almost a week, but this was the first time he actually saw his new human mommy…

At 3 weeks, Roscoe graduated from the syringe to a bottle…

And he began spending more time out and about, playing with his toys…

At 4 weeks he had become a master escape artist, always plotting ways to escape the walls of his playpen…

Roscoe and Opie spent a lot of time cuddling and playing…

Roscoe loves attention and would seek it out even when his mommy was trying to study…

Soon he had made a lot of friends…

But his favorite will always be the one who found and saved him, Opie…

Best friends and brothers…

Now Roscoe is nearly 4 months old, healthy, happy, and grateful.

As you can see from the photographs, Roscoe went from near death at only 2 days old to a healthy young cat. We commend his rescuers and owners for loving and caring for this beautiful creature back to optimal health. We also commend his best dog friend Opie for sniffing him out and never leaving his side. I’m sure they’ll be the friends forever!
